Kitty Doll
Posted on: 2025/01/10
I once had a small, knitted kitten doll. Kitty Doll went everywhere with me – to play outdoors, to school in my pocket, to bed at night. She had baths (thrown in the washer) and went to hospital (her knitting was mended by my mum). She was my favourite toy and constant companion. I believe she’s in a box somewhere. I find her every now and again, reminisce and pack her away safely.
Dependancy

As with so many questions in my life, the answer to this one is, “It depends.” To live a very long life that is healthy and filled with loved ones would be a blessing. One filled with illness and loss would be a curse.
When I was a child, I wanted to live to be 100. I had no concept of time or quality. Having nearly lost my life at 52 and after having had so many people dear to me die, I consider quality a more important measure.
